Jack Aikens was born February 12, 1979 in Southeastern Tennessee. He began studying guitar at age 15 and was influenced heavily by the playing of Metallica, Steve Vai, Randy Rhoads, Chet Atkins, Andres Segovia, and Jazz Saxophonist John Coltrane.

He was self taught untill 1999 when he began studying under Berklee College of Music Graduate Charlie Hicks who opened his mind and many doors on his way to mastery of the guitar. He has had the good fortune of being personally influenced by Blues Rock Legend Lonnie Mack and has had audition demos requested by Ronnie Keel, remembered most for bringing Yngwie Malmsteen to the States and the Iron Horse Band.

Jack was the driving force behind the band Wicc, having wrote most of the music and lyrics for the band as well as securing the bands bookings and directing the promotions of the band. Jack left Wicc in 2003, to concentrate his efforts on his solo career and his current music education.

Jack is attending Cleveland State Community College his current major is general transfer with emphasis on music which will be changing this summer semester to Theory and Composition. He will also be attending classes at The University of Tennessee where he plans to study advanced Theory. Jack has also been studying for entrance into the Studio Music and jazz program at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, a program which only admits four guitarists from all over the United States.

Late this Spring, Jack will have the honor of playing with Blues/Jazz/Folk Guitarist Jonathan Whimpee in Roanoke, Virginia to benefit the local Ronald McDonald House. Currently he is rehearsing with "JW" for this upcoming show, and will be playing venues in Virginia through May, 2004.
